Μετά την τρέλα που έφερε η Nintendo αρχικά με τα “Mini” consoles και ακολoύθησε η Sony, η Sega θα φέρει ίσως το πιο πολυπόθητο Mini Console. Mιας και η ίδια δεν υπάρχει πλέον ως Console Manufacturer η νοσταλγία βαράει κόκκινο. Το Mega Drive Mini ήταν να κυκλοφορήσει αρχικά στην Ευρώπη στις αρχές Σεπτεμβρίου αλλά αντί αυτού θα κυκλοφορήσει τελικά στις 4 Οκτωβρίου. Ο λόγος που επικαλέστηκε η Sega είναι διάφορα λογιστικά προβλήματα.
Το Mega Drive Mini θα φέρει 2 USB Controllers, HDMI καλώδιο και 42 τίτλους που τους αναγράφουμε παρακάτω:
