Παρότι το The Last Of Us Remaster είναι μέχρι στιγμής ένα από τα best – selling παιχνίδια στο PSN και μέσα στην πρώτη δεκάδα των top – selling παιχνιδιών του Ιουλίου που μας πέρασε, η SONY ανακοίνωσε ότι δεν θα υπάρξουν πολλά HD remaster για το PS4 από το PS3.
You can’t have too many of these things otherwise next-gen just looks like rehashed last-gen and we certainly don’t want that. I think the balance is just about right but you know, there are other games that could be looked at, but there’ll come a point where next gen will have moved on and rehashing old-gen will have passed its sell-by date.

Επίσης εξήγησε ότι το TLOU remaster ήταν μια λογική επιλογή λόγω των πολύ καλών κριτικών και βραβείων που απέσπασε. Τέτοιου είδους λογικές επιλογές θα υπάρξουν στο μέλλον.
